Shades of Nostalgia

 

Coming off from intoxication when truth

plays a safe field; there will be turbulence 

on my tongue, along grooves where I scrubbed 

too hard. You have been shining your face

clean, sitting in a room of warm smoke to scour 

off giving. An ocean rustles its discrepancies

like moon-waves, no one must notice 

the appalling shaft of pink silver goodbye

breaking into thin stains where the boat sails.

You have the love of a seafarer, reading sails

like a compass; orange clouds and grey sands.

This is a mad twilight.
