Lurid Silence

Once I stumble upon something

From the darker parts of life

But recover gently at right speed

Hearts intact,

The emptiness still lingers.

Remember the shadows lurking behind

A childhood burying the past,

In those days,

The words carried the dewy morning

Comforted and cared,

The grasshoppers hid under wet grass.

Unrobing, unfamiliar hands reach out now

Take all my familiar dreams away

To the distant corner,

The unhurried herons staring

At the tiny fishes

The dialogue I want to start with them

Overhear only the lurid silence.
