If

I look closely
will I see your face in the reflection?
your image cutting through the darkness
If I listen carefully
Will I hear you whisper?
tender words in the stillness
raindrops echoing each other
If I touch a soft buttercup
in your garden
will I feel you there?
nestled between the still leaves of the trees rustling with each gentle breeze
If I breathe in the aroma of newly cut grass wet beneath my footsteps
will I remember you next to me?
shadows fall upon each other
the sun tips on the edge of horizon
If only you remain
