Lucid Dreaming

She tells me lucid dreaming

is when you can control it.

She is slim, strong, legs

like naked fate. She can sus-

pend herself from the sky,

or move on the ground like

an ocelot. She stirs me. I

say, you stir me. She takes

me by my false front and

shakes my synovial joints

as if they were speakeasies.

I want to kiss her carmine lips.

I approach slowly, the way I

was taught to hunt by my an-

cestors in the jurisdiction of dream.
