Jocund Fireflies

Modest sunny rays
pierce
through green foliage
as the angel of dawn
caresses
numb ground
galvanized
in the mystery of snow melt.

In the wintry gust
chirping birds fly
over
the sprouting hills
like morning bells
carried by
a wily breeze
chanting with
Buddhist monks
and
a beautiful sky,
marinade dreams
ready to fall
like hailstones
as sprightly as
jocund fireflies!
