                                                                                                                                 Christmas Wreath, Marijo McBride

Poetry Only, Online Biannual Publication:

January 1st and  July 1st

A brief letter of introduction, including name, email address, postal address, word count, and a 150 word biographical sketch about the author and/or artist must accompany all submissions to Editor Diane Smith at dsdianefuller@gmail.com

Please submit three to five poems and wait a minimum of six months before submitting new work after a rejected submission and one year after publication with Grey Sparrow Journal. We do not accept previously published work except by special arrangement and/or request by Grey Sparrow staff. Simultaneous submissions are accepted and must be noted in the writers' submissions. If submissions are placed elsewhere before Grey Sparrow secures the right for publication, inform Grey Sparrow immediately at dsdianefuller@gmail.com  Please, no partial withdrawals are accepted.  If one or more poems have been accepted elsewhere, the entire submission is withdrawn.

Upon application for review, you warrant you are submitting your original poetry. All submissions are subject to edit and poets are required to work with an editor if their submission is chosen for publication. New venues for re-publication should not be sought until 12 months have lapsed from the date of publication. We do not publish pornography or horror. In general, we do not entertain stories that contain gratuitous drug use and/or abuse.  We do not publish excerpts from novels or work in a series. There is no reading fee for general submissions.  We do not pay our contributors.

Now that we have gone to a bi-annual issue, long waits are not uncommon and do not reflect on the quality of the work.

Two books are slated for publication in 2017.  That is our maximum for the year and we are closed for manuscripts.  Anthologies are not eligible for consideration.
